Father,
We come to you this third Sunday of Easter with the joy of your resurrection fresh on our hearts. Thank you that you are still revealing yourself and your power to us today. Remove the blinders and the hardness of heart that may keep us from being sensitive to your call.
O, God, you are the giver of every good and perfect gift. We are aware of how easily we take and how often we grudgingly give. Give us the gift of grateful hearts. that we may want to share with others all you have given us. Reveal even more to us how we may better give of ourselves and our time and our money to join you in the work you are doing. We count it a great privilege to have you desire to work in us and through us.
Today, as we give our tithes and offerings, bless them and use them to continue to reveal your love and your presence to this broken but beautiful world.
Father, cause our hearts to burn within us as a result of being in your presence today. Don't let us miss that! Allow your love to compel us to share your story with others and to be resurrection and life to those who need you so very much. And send us out this week with the fresh memory of WALKING WITH YOU today--THAT is our blessed assurance.
